How do I make my boyfriend get rid of his dog?

My fiance has a bet hound that has gotten out of control. It bites me, destroys my things, and drools and sheds all over everything. On occasions I have to take the dog outside, it nips at me sometimes biting me when I try to put the leash on it. I have had to buy 5 pairs of the same shoe because the dog has eaten and destroyed them. It drools all over everything and sheds everywhere-which is affecting my allergies. The problem is,my fiance doesn't do anything about any of it. He knows that I hate his dog and why I hate his dog. Despite this, he doesn't seem to care that I am having problem with his dog. He won't take the time to train it not to do these things, because as he says "bet hounds are stubborn and hard to train". He doesn't punish the dog when it bites me or eats my shoes, and he doesn't even offer to pay to replace or fix my damaged property. I started locking everything of value in the closet so the dog can't get to it-yet my fiance forgets to shut the door quite often resulting in my things being destroyed by his dog. I end up having to clean the apartment because my fiance makes no attempt to do it. (he claims he doesn't have time because he works 50 hours a week) Yet I work 50 hours a week AND I go to school. I have to vacuum the rugs 2 or more times to get all the dog hair off of them. The dog sheds so much I try to keep it off the furniture and rugs to try to keep it from shedding all over everything and dirtying what I just cleaned. My fiance complains about me doing this because he says I am "being mean to the dog" by not letting it get onto the furniture and roll all over the rugs. Not only is this becoming a problem, but my fiance has also humanized this dog to an extent that is absolutely disgusting. He wipes the dogs rear end after it does it's business, he puts baby powder under its armpits so it "dosn't get dry skin", he went out and bought a cd of lullabies for dogs so that the dog doesn't get lonely during the day when we are at work. And to top it all off, we are never able to go anywhere for longer than half a day because he can't leave the dog home alone, with family, or at a kennel because the dog will get "depressed". I believe in loving your pets, but this has gotten absolutely ridiculous. I have tried training the dog myself, which didnt' work-when I wasn't around my fiance let the dog do all the the things that I was trying to train it not to do. After 3 months of trying to train it I gave up. I have suggested that my fiance take it to a trainer, to which he gets offended and claims that he will not waste his money on. I am at wits end-the only thing left to do in my eyes is to get rid of the stupid dog. I have grown to hate this dog, just seeing it in the apartment makes me angry-I don't want to throw away out relationship because of a dog, but I can't live like this anymore. How do I make him get rid of this disgusting dog?! HELP...
