Aren't hugh budget cuts to Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare just what the GOP always wanted?

The GOP is a non-issue at this point. They were voted out by us few true conservatives left along with help from the libertarian leaning Tea Party. We want fiscal responsibility, nothing more. It's up to the Dems to choose what is cut. For now they are choosing programs that will cause fear and possibly turn voters back to them and away from conservatives instead of cutting pork and earmarks.
