Which is a better series of books?

The Chronicles of Narnia shouldn't take you anything like as long as the Christmas vacation to read. They're short books and they're aimed at children of about 8-12. I read them all at the age of six. I'm not saying you shouldn't read them, but just be aware that they aren't going to take up much of your time/effort.
